(35)The Notifying Parties agree with the previous decision practice of the Commission.
(36)The Commission takes the view that its previous decision practice with regard to the categorization of trucks is still relevant.
(37)In this regard, and for the purposes of this decision, the Commission considers that the relevant product market is the market for heavy-duty trucks, comprising trucks of a gross weight of over 16 tonnes.
5.2.2.Geographic market definition
(38)While in Volvo/Scania and Volvo/Renault the Commission decided that the geographic scope of the heavy truck market was national, the Commission has in other cases subsequently left open the question whether the market is national, regional or EEA wide.
(39)In Volkswagen/MAN the Commission had found that, even though technical requirements appeared to be largely uniform across the EEA, there were a number of elements suggesting that the markets for heavy trucks were probably still national in scope.
(40)Although the Notifying Parties argue that there is a number of elements pointing to a regional or EEA-wide market, they ultimately do not oppose the previous decision practice of the Commission.
(41)In light of the above, for the purposes of this decision, it can be left open whether the market for the manufacture and supply of heavy-duty trucks is national, regional or EEA-wide.

No. The VAA is an associate: it does not replace the lawyer in charge. Multi-J and FDI results should always be verified with the help of a lawyer qualified in the respective jurisdictions.
